What is the immune system?

Accumulating evidence from scientific studies shows that whole body Cryotherapy exposure can be utilised to improve your immune function.

Oxidative stress – WBC exposures increase your anti oxidant status.

A study was conducted with 30 male participants with an average age of 27.1 years; the participants were exposed to 3 minutes daily WBC for 20 days. Blood was taken for analysis throughout the experiment before treatment and then after sessions 1, 10 and 20. The conclusion was that the WBC exposures to cryogenic temperatures resulted in changes in peroxidant and antioxidant status; with an antioxidant status increase of 43.2%.

Leukocyte (white blood cell) count – WBC exposures increase your Leukocyte count.

A sample size of 45 participants with an average age of 23.5 years were exposed to 3 minutes WBC treatment 5 times a week for 6 weeks. Blood was taken for analysis throughout the experiment before treatment and then after sessions 1, 10, 20 and 30. The obtained results indicate that frequent WBC treatment resulted to changes in leukocytes count; including lymphocytes, monocytes and neutrophils. After 20 sessions leukocytes increased by 11.5%.
